Our Product Line

Our mission is to provide efficient X-ray spectroscopy solutions to any possible problems. The first 4 laboratory spectrometers offer efficient characterisation of relatively large, homogeneous samples, in dispersive setups with position sensitive detectors. LynX A and LynX X cover XANES and EXAFS, LynX E covers X-ray emission spectroscopy, while LynX U is a device that combines X and E. All these happen using dispersive setups, only the EXAFS measurement needs moving devices during acquisition. Our instruments are equipped with the open access Tango/Sardana-based control and acquisition software, which is fully programmable, and can easily integrate additional devices, such as sample environment or optical elements.

LynX A
our entry level solution

This device provides you with quick XANES scans using a fixed setup. It exploits the main advantage of the von Hámos arrangement, which permits us to record a large enough energy window(200–300 eV) around the required edge. The analyser and the detector sit on a rigid exchangeable plate that keeps them at the proper geometry needed for XANES. Changing the investigated edge is as simple as changing a plate on the table!

LynX X
extended information range

This device is an enhanced version of LynX A, with motorized spectrometer parts that allows you to seamlessly acquire large enough absorption scans, or switch between edges automatically. It is based on the von Hámos arrangement, but offers you the comfort and flexibility you are used to at the best synchrotron beamlines.

LynX E
a solution for rapid X-ray emission spectroscopy

This device uses a Johann-type spectrometer with cylindrically bent analyser crystals. The setup is made dispersive by positioning the sample inside the Rowland-circle. Note that this solution allows us to make use of the X-ray photons more effectively.

LynX U
a holistic approach for laboratory X-ray spectroscopy

This device offers you both extended X-ray absorption and X-ray emission spectroscopy, to get the most information out of your laboratory device. It combines LynX X and LynX E, arranged on opposite sides of the X-ray source, in some cases even allowing parallel acquisition on both sides.
